Changing registered name without reformatting

I am giving my computer to a friend. The computer has my name listed as who it is registered to. I know that if I reformatted the whole thing and reinstalled the OS I would be able to change it to my friend's name but I was wondering how to do this without having to reformat and reinstall everything. I am not too experienced with changing registry settings but I am guessing this is where that information is.
