Problem with Maxrat's Vista thread

Everytime I try to view Maxrat's thread on installing Vista, my whole browser freezes up and have to do a CTL/ALT/DEL the clear it. It seems to be with this one thread only. I run IE6. Any thoughts.

Nothing on there to suggest any scripts etc. My only thought are that it could be the time some of the sig images are taking. Try clearing the cache and entering it.

Hey I thought it was just me...Mine is doing it too...It doesnt do it everytime but it does do it...Not sure why but it's the only thread that does it...

Wish I could tell you why...Maybe It may be... I copied a link (about the bcedit) and it had a picture in it...when the link posted in the vista thread there was no picture...this just occured to me... that maybe it... if I could stay in long enough to edit the picture part out I would to see if that fixes it...?

Okay...So I thought I was doing a good thing...

First, thanks for bringing it to our attention. Secondly, we've been testing it out through various means and methods, and it seems to be that the error is caused by that inline script ad and some incompatibility of the IE engine to render it correctly.
I would suggest that you use an alternate browser like Firefox (with Adblock and Filterset.G) or Opera to get to the thread.

We've passed on the issue to David, and he will look into it.

At this stage, there really isn't much that can be done, but wait for the company supplying the ads to correct their issue. In the meantime, if you are using an adblocking software you may want to add:
http://kona.kontera.com/javascript/lib/KonaLibInline.js
to the list of offenders.

Thanks for your patience.

And I have to get in a plug here - not being pushy. If you get a Supporter subscription, you don't get Intellitext.

A bit of patience here. Keep in mind that forums such as these are free because they are supported by ad revenues. For his part, David has promptly contacted the ad firm to look into the issue.

Thanks for understanding.

I'll close this down now, if you have any further concerns please send in a PM to one of the moderators.

Max, it's not your fault. It's an issue with Intellitext (the green underlined words that give you ad balloons when you hover over them with your mouse). We do appreciate your posts, believe me.

Enough said, I posted in a closed thread, the boss man is checking into it. That's all we can do.
