Removing WGA...

Microsoft has finally admitted that having this thing phone home (and not telling anyone it did so) was a mistake.

Here's how to remove the "phone home" part : http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=921914

If you've been getting false readings, and the concomitant piracy notice, use it.
Otherwise wait till patch Tuesday and automatic updates will do it for you.
