Video goes out after windows load screen
Hi I am helping my brother build a computer and we were checking componets to location a diffective piece. I pulled out my graphics card and to use it in his. This is after the computer was turned off. Try it on his computer and then put it back in my computer. Been very careful on static and everything thing i was grounded the whole time. Once I booted my computer back up it starts up fine i get a nice load beep out of the motherboard. Then it goes to the safe mode screen and no matter what i try to load it in, it just stays on a black screen. Would reinstalling fix this problem? Any info on what i could try would be greatly apprecated thanks for reading.

What is your system configuration please?
Did you connected 4 pin connetor called (12 V P4 http://www.dansdata.com/images/p4/12v320.jpg ) to a motherboard or do you have build in graphic adapter and your signal is sent to it?

Did you completely disconnect the computer from the AC power source before removing and installing the cards? If not, you very possibly zapped something, motherboards have +5v on them even when the computer is powered off.
