how to set program priority in the registry?
what i want to do is execute a program with /abovenormal priority.
for example, notepad /abovenormal i know there is a way to do this in the registry, but i can't remember how to do it. |

In Windows 2000/XP, you can give your process a higher priority in Task Manager, by right-clicking the proess name, and choose "Set Priority". This method doesn't usually yield much improvement in performance, and can cause trouble - for a brief tutorial on the subject, MaxPC/"PCAnswers" has this page --- http://www.pcanswers.co.uk/tutorials...bsectionid=607
I believe scripts can also be used -- the tutorial above mentions creating a batch file to set a higher priority. Best of luck . . . Gary |
