Outlook/Mail Problem

I'm running Windows XP Pro, with Office 2003. Here's the problem:

I'm trying to setup my email. I freshly reinstalled Office 2003, and when I open outlook, everything looks fine, but when I send/receive nothing happened. When I went to "tools- EmailAcounts" I get "The operation failed due to a registry or installation problem. Restart and try again..." I went out of Outlook and thent o control panels, then mail. I tried to click on the email accounts button, and it clicks but nothing ever happens, no other windows or anything. If I click on data files, nothing either. If I select Profiles, I can see Outlook listed.

Any ideas what my problem may be and how to fix it???

Thanks in advance!

Were there any "glitches" during the Office install?

I would reinstall Office (on top of itself) and let it overwrite files unless it suggests that you keep the newer files if finds during the install.
