USB Driver
is it possible to copy the usb driver for a datatraveler flash drive from one Win xp pro sp2 machine to another? if possible, how? I ask because I have a pc that ask for the installation driver.
another question is, is it possible to boot a pc from a SCSI driver when a IDE drive is present? thanks |

I didn't have to install any drivers for my Kingston Data Traveler on any of my 4 WinXP computers...WinXP recognized the Kingston and I could use it without doing anything else.
Are you getting an error message or something? Cricket

Flash drives are all plug and play in XP with no driver needed - either you have a bad flash drive or something wrong with your USB if it's not seen properly when you plug it in.

the problem is that when I plug the drive windows xp sp-2 recognize it as a datatraveler 2.0 but the add new hardware wizar appears and ask me for the driver disk, I don`t know if there are some drivers files missing in the system, the flash drive is in good condition.
ok I will try this, what do you think? http://www.jsifaq.com/subM/tip6100/rh6181.htm Last edited by easg; 07-02-2006 at 11:01 AM. |
