USB Driver

is it possible to copy the usb driver for a datatraveler flash drive from one Win xp pro sp2 machine to another? if possible, how? I ask because I have a pc that ask for the installation driver.

another question is, is it possible to boot a pc from a SCSI driver when a IDE drive is present?

thanks

Why don't you just download the appropriate driver from the Kingston web site?

Yes, you change the boot order in the BIOS. Make the SCSI drive the first boot device. Do you have a SCSI hard drive in the computer now?

I didn't have to install any drivers for my Kingston Data Traveler on any of my 4 WinXP computers...WinXP recognized the Kingston and I could use it without doing anything else.

Are you getting an error message or something?

Flash drives are all plug and play in XP with no driver needed - either you have a bad flash drive or something wrong with your USB if it's not seen properly when you plug it in.

the problem is that when I plug the drive windows xp sp-2 recognize it as a datatraveler 2.0 but the add new hardware wizar appears and ask me for the driver disk, I don`t know if there are some drivers files missing in the system, the flash drive is in good condition.

ok I will try this, what do you think?
