Reformatting and WGA
i havent done this since microsoft did their WGA thing with XP but if i reformat a computer and try to re enter the key i entered the first time i intsalled XP on the computer, will WGA tell me the key is already in use and my version is pirated? if yes, can i just call them and straighten it out or what?

No, it shouldn't tell you it's pirated. And as long as you haven't changed several pieces of hardware in your system, it shouldn't give you any problems at all. If at some point you do upgrade your mobo/cpu, or a few other pieces of hardware, it may ask you to call Microsoft, but they never give you a hard time about it.
