is anyone familiar with this site?

sorry..i should of said this page

If you have the installation CD you don't need a boot disk, as you can use the recovery console from the install CD.

what if i did not have the installation cd and wanted a floppy please?

Then download the Windows XP Pro boot disk for your appropriate install (No service packs, SP1, or SP2). If you can't tell, right-click on My Computer and select Properties, that will tell you what version of Windows you have.
To be honest, if you don't have the installation CD because it is a store-bought computer, I would just forget about a Windows XP boot disk and use something else like Knoppix for data recovery. To do a reinstall you would need to use the recovery CD anyway. |
