Administrator password

I have two users under the "Administrator" group. One is "Administrator" and the other is "Michael". I have never used the first, I do all my work with "Michael". "Administrator" does not have a password, I would like to assign a password and move "Michael" to the Powerusers group. Would there be any problem doing this? There are warnings about changing the Administrator password, does this apply in my case? I am using XP Pro SP2.

Should work fine...Only warning I can think of is" "Don't Forget what the password is."

Send a message via MSN to doctorgonzo
The Administrator account MUST have a password; otherwise, you are leaving yourself open to hackers. Choose something strong and write it down so you don't forget it.

EzyStvy and doctorgonzo, thanks for your responses.
I made the changes to my user groups. I'm having a problem with some programs and the Power User group. For instance: when I right-click msconfig.exe, select "Run As", enter the Administrator password and press "ok", the following message is displayed:

The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

If I log-in as Administrator, msconfig.exe will start. What changes should I make to use the "Run As" feature?

"Run As" works now. I had "Secondary Login" disabled.

Something to keep in mind when changing the administrator password.

If you have scheduled back ups and the password is changed the back up will not run due to the PW change. Check your back up reports.
