cleanup 2 OS's at startup
When I boot up I get a choice of starting with hard drive C or D. At one time I had my operating system on hard drive D but now it is on hard drive C and have deleted the OS from drive D. I understand there is a file in the registry that I can delete and thus get rid of the extra screen showing the two choices at startup. Would you know what that file is so that I might use "find" in regedit to get rid of it?

Was this a dual boot situation at one time? What OS?

right click on my computer, go to properties, go to advanced, under startup and recovery press settings, at this point you have 2 options, if the correct os automaticly boots, then simply change the Time to Display list option to 0, or if its not the automaticly booting os, then click edit and remove the line pointing to the old os, be sure you rmeove the correct one or else youll be starting a new thread about how to rebuild the boot.ini file.....
