Alert Previous Attempts at booting failed lthr

I'm lost here, I try to restore my sister's computer back to the beginning because she had too many things on it.

When I rebooted the computer, a black screen came up with this message and it wouldn't go any further.

Can someone please help, I don't want my sister to think that I broke her computer because i was working when i was on it..the problem was that it was too too too slow.

Exactly how did you try to "restore" it? Did you do comprehensive malware scans first?
