Xp Frozen help me out..(please, thanks)

id like to start by saying hello to everyone in the fourms!.. this is my first post...

so here is my problem... i was searching yahoo for this problem and it led me here... they guy had almost the same problem as me but here is my problem....

plz plz plz read all and help!

here is a summary..

i delete and re-install windows...

i have a compaq computer..

it has the system recovery built into the hard drive so i just restart the computer and i can reinstall it at anytime

so i deleted and reinstalled it.. and it goes through the process fine and all that..

then i get to this compaq countdown screen.. it says when the timer reaches 00:00 u will see a blank screen.. do not shut off comp during the blank screen.. it will only last a moment...

so the timer dosnt even get down to 5 min.... and the black screen comes up.. so im like koo.. it will do its thing... and i let it sit there forrrrever.. and the busy light wasnt active.. so it sat there for like an hour.. and nothing happend.. so i shut off the comp (lol i kno i kno) it started up... it went through its final process and i set up my comp name and all that..

so now my comp wont restart.... it just sits there when it says its shuttin down.... and my busy light isnt active....so i shut it down....by holding my power button.. and it says something about booting this way because the bios had an error.. or something.. i dont remember.. but i re-installed my xp 2 times... and at that compaq screen.. it does the same thing.. turns black b4 5 min on the countdown.. and sits there....

so what do i do?? i have no disc.. no way of getting any disc. just my computer and a last hope... plz help me!! thanks for reading!!

Could you start over whole process?
