Opening icon
I am gtting the following error and would like to know what i need to do to fix problem please?
"This file does not have a program associated with it for perfomorming this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel." I am trying to open a desktop icon created using Firefox. i appreciate any help. TIA |

What file extension does that file have?

i created in firefox but the icon itself looks like a IE created icon. Hope this helps.

But what kind of file is it? An image file? A movie file? A Word document?

well i went to MLB.com and created a shortcut icon to it for my desktop. Hope this helps.

Right-click on the file and go to properties. There should be a line that says "opens with" and a button next to it that says change. Click on that button and select firefox. It also seems like IE might still be set as your default browser. You probably want firefox, so somewhere in the firefox options there is a setting for that. I'm an opera user (lover!), but it should be easy to find and hopefully someone else in this thread knows exactly where it is.
