Constant Flash Player Update?

For the past several weeks, Windows Automatic Update has been notifying me of this:

Security Update for Flash Player (KB913433)

So, thinking that it is no big deal, and perhaps necessary for the overall safety of my computer I authorize the install. The install always fails however, and I am constantly getting notified of the need to install it. Everytime I reauthorize the install though, it does not complete successfully, thus resuming the cycle again.

What's going on here?

what error message does it give you? You can probably google that along with the KB number and find some answers.

There are three possible fixes:

Go to Windows Update or Microsoft Update and find the MS06-020 security update in the list of updates that are on offer. This update will be listed as “Security Update for Macromedia Flash 6 (KB913433).” Click the plus sign [+] next to the update, and then click to select Don’t show me this update again check box.
Find and delete the following files on your system:
- Flash.ocx
- Swflash.ocx
Get the latest Macromedia Flash Player from Adobe (make sure that you uncheck the option to install Yahoo! toolbar unless you REALLY want it!).

Thanks for your suggestions. I googled the error message and followed some instructions on the official MS support page - hopefully it will keep the error message from showing up again.
