Computer Stopped Booting Up?!?

I have a Dell Dimension 8100 running WinXP Pro that stopped loading properly. The black boot screen does the same thing it used to do when my computer worked properly, but then when it goes to the Windows screen right before the main operating screen it hangs indefinitly. I can load the computer in safe mode and trying using Windows restore to no avail. I even used the Windows CD, went into the install/blue screen and trying to use the windows repair function but couldn't do anything useful. I'm running out of ideas and would appreciate any suggestions.

If you can boot in safe mode you should check up your start up programs and see witch one blogs your computer or if you didn't disconect all USB and other hardware and leave only keyboard mouse and monitor and connect one by one, to see witch one is gives you a headache!
To check startup in RUN box type msconfig and hit ENTER! http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/
