Got Ripped off?

Around xmas i built my own pc and everything, but at the very last part, I found that the wiring for the lights didnt run right, and all that so i had best buy do the rest, and i didnt have a windows cd so they installed windows xp for 70 bucks but its not authentic, and i was wondering what the cheapest win xp is without work or anything lol or what i can do because i need authentic windows to get secruity updates so ill stop getting all this adware... thx

If best buy installed Windows and it wasent legit...id find the receipt and make sure they do the job correctly or give you a new copy of windows. I find that just despicable.

you can also go to microsoft web site and obtain a legit validation kit from them for a price, but in your situation i think if u submit the receipt and some other things you would get a ligit product key and microsoft i beleive will take the issue up with best buy. In any case go to the windows update site and try to update windows and if it fails validation you will be giving the choices you can make to obtain a legit copy of windows. Just follow the one that applies to you. Hopes this helps
