minimize is closing applications
my dad has Windows ME at work, and said that about a week ago every time he tried to minimize a window, it would just close it rather than send it to the taskbar. there are no system restore dates for him to go back to, and i have no idea what would cause this. i am having him check today to see if the process is still running after the program closes, but its definitely leaving his screen
any help would be great craig

alt space N
ALT-Spacebar-N minimizes the active window. What if you try it that way instead of using a mouse. Does it work?

i will have him try it. apparently the IT folks just realized he is still using ME, so they are going to get him a new computer. in the meantime, though, that may be an easy fix, thanks
