Win 2000 drive space problems
My hard drive is full so I decided to install super utilitites 6.39 to determine where all the memory was being used. When I analyzed the drive with super utilities I found 12 GB of memory being used by temporary internet files. But when I search the hard drive for these files they can not be found. The utility program indicates that the internet files are in the following directory :
documents and settings/administrator/local settings/temporary internet files. But when I search my C drive under my computer no such directory exists. I am confused at what is going on. |

Temporary Inet files are hidden files you have to unhide them to be able to see them!!!
Windows 2000 Open My Computer. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option. Click Yes to confirm. Click OK. edit: http://uis.georgetown.edu/software/d...emp.files.html

Install Crap Cleaner - it will find them and delete them. With 12gb of files, it will probably take a few hours to do the job. If you are not logged in as Administrator, you won't see them anyway - so if you use multiple logins, you need to run it in each profile.
