Help with Windows 2000
I'm new here and wasn't entirely sure where to put this plea for help. I recently purchased an IBM Thinkpad T20 laptop computer, 800mhz Intel Pentium III processor, 256MB RAM, 20GB HDD, with Windows 2000 Professional installed on it. This OS wasn't to my liking, so I upgraded to Windows XP Professional. XP was very unstable and the computer crashed several times, so I decided to return to Windows 2000 with the backup disk I was provided. I now have Windows 2000 working, but all my device drivers were lost and I have no copies of them. Also, all the fonts are very blurry and blocky, which I believe could be a problem with my display adapter. I'm fairly proficient in computer hardware but mediocre when it comes to solving software issues. If anyone could give me some aid, I would greatly appreciate it.

Try going to http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...id=HOME-LENOVO
Input your system model and it should give you a list of drivers to download.

All the drivers you need are at Lenovo, plus a lot of other supporting software and utilities. I have a T20 and built it up with a generic copy of Win2000 and the drivers from the site.

Thanks, the drivers helped fix my sound problems. But I still have some visual issues. All the text is blocky and blurred. I've tried changing my screen resolution but it didnt change a thing. I installed Ubuntu Linux on a second partition and it renders screen fonts fine, so I'm thinking its a Windows issue?

You need to install the video drivers.

I rechecked and I didn't install the drivers properly the first time around. It's all up and running now. Thanks a lot, I greatly appreciate it.
