Strange Pop-up at Start Up

Hi everyone ... my new PC is that I built with the help of you guys has been running great. Lately however it seems when I restart I get a weird pop-up. A box will come up that says Windows Installe, it will sit for a second than it will pop up another box that says Norton Anti-Virus 2006 does not support the Repair feature, please uninstall and reinstall. What could this mean?

Uninstall and reinstall Norton. That's if you MUST have Norton - I don't recommend it.

The problem is I don't have a disk to re-install. I purchased and downloaded Norton off their website and so it was just a download.

Here is the fix...

If you goto the norton web site www.symantic.com, visit the support site and run the "Auto fix tool". It may say there are no problems, but it fixed mine.... I had the same popup after a complete backup session.

If you don't have a Norton disk, just get rid of it. Uninstall all items related to Symantec and download the free version of AVG. You wil be much happier in the long run.
