So I installed this 2007 IE beta and outlook.
Ever since, any new e-mails I download to outlook have no message body. I can see the header and subject but no body. Is there any known fix for this????? Can I uninstall with out loosing all my e-mails, contacts, etc?????? Surfin around it seems like this is a common problem. But I can't find a fix. Apparently Microsoft made it so you can only see the body of messages sent through Microsoft Outlook and nothing else like yahoo.... Way to go microsoft! I am going back to Firefox just because I am bitter now...... |

So I found the fix to my own problem.
Apparently 2007 Beta Outlook does not like my AVG anti virus certifying my incomming and out going mail. In AVG control panel under e-mail scanner I simply de selected the certify email options for incomming and out going and wa la, all is good. I am however still bitter....... |

Beta software is a "work in progress" software that is known to be buggy.
You're suppost to install it on a non critical/test machine that you can afford to reformt often.

You did notice the word Beta for the software release didnt you? Why be bitter about installing a software that is meant for testing. S/w companies release beta bits not just to get bug reports but also get any developers ready for any changes.

Beta software is not just issued to let the public use something free. If you use it, you are supposed to test it and make bug reports. If you install beta software on a production system without making a backup, it's your own fault if something doesn't go right.

Who said I was running it on a critical or production machine? I simply would have expected something better from Microsoft. Especially when you search for the problem the non microsoft web sites that come up are endless. however when I searched the Microsoft web site there is nothing. Also, if you check out the microsoft web site they advertise the beta all over the place. I would think that before they push it out hard on customers the major bugs should be worked out.
Sorry if you all don't agree......... In any case I found an easy solution......... |
