ccapp on windows xp mce

Hello,
For awhile now I get an error stating ccApp.exe should be terminated. This occurs at random times, not at shutdown as it seems to be the more common problem. Sometimes this error pops up on startup, or after checking email using Eudora 7.0, or even while browsing the internet with Internet Explorer. When I terminate this proccess it then prevents my email software from connecting to the mail server. I am aware ccApp is part of Norton Internet Security 2006 software. AVG virus scanner use to be running on the machine. I thought it was causing a conflict and therefore removed it. That didn't make the error vanish.

I have a HP m790n Pavilion Media center TV PC.

What would likely be causing this problem?

Have you ran any scans for malware/adware? Yes, ccapp is part of Norton, but there's also one with the same name that is spyware. If you haven't done so already, try running a scan with something like AdAware, Spybot, or Ewido.

I'd personally remove Norton and put AVG back on.
