Its the Dark Side!

System Services
Something thats i've been trying to deal with for awhile. Is it possible to make any arbitrary program run whether im logged on or off (Under a Windows Server 2000 Environment), or as a system service? Cause I have a few programs i'd like to run in the background whether im maintaining my server or not. I'm just not entirely sure if windows can do that, or if the program itself needs to provide that feature.
TIA

It's quite easy to create and run applications as a service, you just need the reskit. (available here: http://www.petri.co.il/download_free_reskit_tools.htm) Download and install Srvany and instsrv .. the steps are detailed here: http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.c...id=1759&page=8
