need to reinstall comp but no reinstall disc
so my gf's comp is messed up with spyware and weird pop ups. i'd figure that if i just format and reinstall the system, that would be the quickest solution.
problem is, she doesn't know where the reinstall disc is. any solutions? |

Is that a brand name machine?
If so, what brand and model. There is likely to be a restore partition on it. However when you consider the time needed to backup and return all the files, settings, e-mail, Windows updates, 3rd party programs, etc., you would be better off if you can find and remove the malware. What antivirus, antispyware, etc have you already ran?

It probably did not come with a reinstall disk - you may have to make your own with a utility - assuming it has a CD or DVD burner. Can't tell you any more without the exact MODEL.

The exact model is going to be on a label on the bottom somewhere.
