How is your screen saver set? does it require a password to bring it back from screensaver?
Does it require a password to bring it back from hibernate or standby?

both system standby and hibernate are disabled (they use the word never) when i go to the hibernate tab though there is a check mark next to 'enable hibernation.' so is this computer in hibernation or not?

No, you don't have to disable hibernation - just don't allow it to do it *automatically* - which "never" accomplishes fine.
What you need to do is turn off the screen saver and set just the *monitor* to turn off after a period of time. Make sure the hard drive is set to "never" also. |
