Stop winking at me!!!

XP Folder won't delete
Situation:
I just loaded XP on a PC, created an account, chose to protect from access and view from other accounts. Later on I create a new "admin" account called whatever, and it's added to the admin group. However, I cannot delete the folder associate to the default account I created. Now the "default account" has already been deleted, and creating a new one with the same name won't work for the association to the folder is now broken. I can't seem to find any setting to allow access via other accounts. I am stuck. Ideas? |

Did you delete the "default account" profile prior to deleting the account? If it still shows in the profile list when you log in as *THE* administrator, you can do it that way.
I learned a LONG time ago never to delete an account on a NT-based OS. I disable them instead. |

I deleted the account first, and then later tried to delete the folder which is how i learned of this problem.

Is the profile still listed when you log in as the administrator?
