problems logging onto windows 2000
I am having problems logging onto my windows 2000 computer as administrator. I have successfully log on as a guest but when I try to log on as admistrator the computer says it is loading personal settings but then never logs in.

yes I have another account and I tried that and I was able to log on successfully. I am wondering if something accidently got deleted from my computer. This problem occured a few days after I cleaned up the hard drive using a utility I download from the internet.

Does the utility you used have an undo function? What exact utility is it?

Yes, there is an undo option if you accepted the backup option when you did the cleaning. It will be in the format cc_xxxxxxxx_xxxx.reg (x's are the year, month, date, and time) and by default will be in My Documents. If you did the Crap Cleaner run in the Administrator account, it will be in Administrator's My Documents, you will have to get into that account, try safe mode. Just double click on the .reg file to merge it back into the registry.

You have malware. That's not a legitimate service. Log into the account that works and throw all the malware scanners you can find at it - antivirus, antitrojan, and antispyware.
