Shared Folders in Windows Server 2K

Been trying to figure this out for awhile, but been really out of luck. Got my server box to function as a fileserver for alot of my central files. my major beef is with shared folders being accessible to any computer on the network without having to type the admin password for the server. I've tried setting read permessions for everyone, but I dont think thats where my problem lies. I need to get that folder to be accessible on a network-wide level, not just a system wide level. Is there a way to do this without having to setup a domain? Ultimately, I just want these folders to be accessible to any computer on the network without a password to get onto the server. With regards to security issues, I plan to set the folder to simply only allow read access.

TIA

Accessing a file share on Windows 2000 requires that you supply _both_ a username and a password. "Everyone" means "all accounts on this computer". Unlike Windows 95/98/ME, it's actually somewhat secure. More likely what you want is to give the user "Guest" read-only access to a share, and have people log in as user "Guest" with no password.
