Post vista

i am going to build a new computer this winter and i wanted to know how is it looking for vista to come out in january like its supposed to. and how much will each version cost im looking at the home edition or whatever its called

More than likely it won't be out until the spring is the latest buzz. Even then I wouldn't just jump at the chance to buy it and install it. It will probably be priced somewhat similar although a bit more than XP although there will be more editions than XP has.

ok i was just wondering cause i dont want to go buy xp then buy vista a little later cause im not lmade of money

I won't even look at Vista until the first or second service pack is released for it...and then I'll still wait to see what everyone else says about it.

WinXP still works fine for me.
