File Associations - DVD-ROM disc

Hi folks,

Every time I put in a blank DVD-ROM disc into my Dell 4700 Desktop (Win XP), Nero (Ultra 7) Burning ROM opens ready to record. I'd rather that nothing happened when I put a DVD disc in.

I know there is a "File Types" settings area in "Control Panel/Folder Options" but it isn't clear to me where in there I would make this change (DVD-Video shows "None and I don't see "blank DVD"). And there is not anywhere obvious to me to turn this off in Nero's options settings, either. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Peter

Right-click your dvd drive, select properties. Click the autoplay tab and select what action you want your drive to take when opening files.
