Keyboard alarms

Hi there. Could anyone tell me if there is a way to set my WinME system up so that if I press my Caps Lock a sound would be generated, hopefully loud enough to alert me to the fact before I go sailing along and then have to backtrack over what I have written and re-write it all again.

I am getting so fed up. I have only a cheap nasty keyboard and the keys are seemingly so close together that my clumsy fingers keep hitting the Caps Lock. If you can help me on this one I would be so happy. Thanks for any possible advice. Grandad

Its easier to watch the screen when you type instead of the keyboard

Why don't they produce software with a button called "Uncapatalise" or "Capitalise" kinda like a "Bold" of "Italic" button.

Control panel, accessibility options, keyboard, use ToggleKeys.

Keyboard Alarms

Hi there GLC and TomKear. Sorry to have to tell youi that the Toggle Keys option is a proper no no! It just does not work.

I definitely remember some years ago reading of someone who was in the same position as I am in now and they were told how to set the Caps Lock up so that when pressed, the system issued a particular note.

I am not a computer buff myself, but can see that to one of these revered gentlemen, it should be a matter of some simplicity to achieve this effect. I just wish that one of them would read this post.

Thanks for being so kind to me and replying anyway. Regards Grandad

Togglekeys works fine if you have a speaker inside the PC - it doesn't play through the speakers connected to the sound card.
