Weird Win XP Desktop Occurrences...

On my main system (listed below in my sig) I have been having some strange problems that will just appear after being AFK for a few minutes...

1. My desktop wallpaper will be offset from the top about an inch. I have to go into desktop properties select another wallpaper and apply it to get it to reset and then I can select my regular wallpaper again.

2. My mouse cursor will just up and disappear. This has happened a few times too many. Once I reboot, everything is ok.

Dont know if this has anything to do with a recent reinstall or what. I did repair the fresh install a while back when my RAM failed and that seems about when these problems occured.

Any ideas what I did wrong? Or shall I run some hardware diags?

No, never have run a dual display on this computer. It is setup to do it, but it is disabled.

Yes, but I run Driver Cleaner and RegFix to clear out everything after I uninstall any drivers. I have never had a problem with it... This happened even with the original drivers that came on disc when I did a fresh install about 3-4 months ago.
