Cant find conection between computer and cable modem
OK I am using Windows Xp and i just switched Mobos i had to reactivate windows etc. but now when start up windows it says that it has found new hardware like PCI? and i my replace ment Mobo didnt have have anysoftware for this. And i unable to let windows search the internet for software. (although i do have the old Mobo software still). i tried reinstalling the ISP software and when it checks the system to make sure that i have the minimum requirements all checks are ok. yet when it trys to connect the computer with the modem it says cannot detect cable modem please check all cables and try again. I know that its not my modem cause im on a laptop right now. im thinking that I need drivers for the ethernet cable port? or since they are the same brand Mobo can I just use that software?

You need to install the drivers that came on the CD with the NEW motherboard. If there are ANY flagged devices in device manager, you are missing those drivers.
