Windows boot up
Hey, I'm on XP pro, and whenever I boot up the computer now, when it is going through the various bios stuff, it always comes to a point now where I have to select whether to start windows normally or do windows xp setup. It sits on xp setup as the default and if I am not there to change it within three seconds, it automatically selects it, and I have to restart my computer again. It is a real pain, and I was wondering how to change that.
Thanks |

To change the default line on your OS selection:
1) go to Control panel > system properties > Advanced properties 2) Startup & Recovery > Settings 3) In the default Operating system drop down list, you should see the line that corresponds to Starting Windows Normally. 4) Select it and press OK Reboot and verify that you are now booting to XP by default and all is well. To remove the XP setup line from your boot.ini Follow steps 1 & 2 from above 3) Click the Edit button 4) Remove the entire line corresponding to XP setup.
