Problesm loading WinXP Pro
Had to reinstll OS again because it kept on crashing... Now when atempting to install I get a error when windows is loading files... It says something like "Setup can't load file tapiui.dll press enter to retry or something to ignore.. What can this be and can this file be found at MS

I would start by running diagnostics on that harddrive.

Test of HD came out fine..I will test the ram next... I hope it is just a install problem...

Finally got it up and runing again.. The ram btw tested out ok.. So this is what I had did. I did a internet search for that file and downloaded it onot my own laptop... Then I took her copy of the OS and copyed all the files and put them into a seperate folder on the desktop.. Then I deleted the bad file, and inserted the downloade file into the folder... Reburned the files onto a seperate disk and then did a clean install of Windows Xp all over again.. So far it worked, even thou I didn't think it would... Finished getting all the updates from MS and right now every thing seems to be working ok. Could be I just had a bad copy or something...
