Changing IRQ's Windows XP
I am still trying to track down a problem I am having with my PC.
Apparently the BSOD I am receiveing may be caused by a device attempting to release memory that is already free. I am told this may be caused by certain devices sharing IRQ levels. How do I go about determining if this is the case and if so making amendments to the IRQ levels? Cheers, Tom

Have you already tested your RAM with Memtest86+?

With ACPI and APIC and WinXP, IRQ problems are a thing of the past and they can't be changed except by moving cards to different slots.

Hi Cricket...MemTest86+ runs all the tests right to the end every time so I'm pretty confident it's not a memory issue.
Cheers glc...I've looked into ACPI etc etc and I now understand how the IRQ settings work in XP. I've moved my (suspected) troublesome hardware into a different PCI slot to see if that gets me anywhere. Thanks for the help
