Outlook Express Message reovery???

My new laptop has X64 I want to recover all my messages from my old Laptop which is still fully functiona with windows xp home editionl.
Here is what I have done so far. I found all the .dbx files on the Laptop and burn them to cd.
I dumped all the .dbx files in the same folder on the new machine.
Administrator\Documents and Stettings\Local ~\Apps\23213123123129837\Microsoft\Outlook Express.
The number I underlined is not the actual folder number
For some reason though after I did all this, outlook express on the new machine is not seeing the messages.
What am I doing wrong?

Copy the files from the CD to a temporary location on the hard drive first - then remove the read-only attributes. Then you can import them using the wizard, import from a store directory.
