Angry XP Contiously Reboots Without Ever Fully Loading...This Goes on for Hours

I have been having some problems when my computer boots. To solve those problems, I tried to never reboot. That plan didn't work out. I got most of the errors fixed and it was fine for a while, but now it will get to the "loading windows" screen and then reboot. It will get back to the same spot and then reboot. I tried turning it off and waiting, and then trying again, but the same thing happens. Then I just let it go and watched TV for about an hour and a half. I came back and it was still rebooting over and over.

I can get it back on by doing a repair install of XP, but that takes like 45 mintues. It doesn't fix the problem, but it actually makes XP load. When I turn it off, the same thing happens. I just turned it off because it locked up. I turned it back on and the rebooting thing happened again. I stuck in the XP CD and it skipped the SATA driver loading page and some of the other booting screens and went right to the screen where I pick what username I want to log in with.

Specs:
CPU - AMD Athlon XP 1900+
MoBo - Syntax
RAM - 1gb Kingston PC3200
HDDs - 200gb IDE WD, 320gb SATA WD
PSU - Enermax 450watt

did you load or unload any kind of driver(s), prior to this continous rebooting. sometimes, bad drivers can cause continous rebooting. can you boot into safety mode?

ps, may be there is malware or virus...just maybe.

Their might be a problem with boot.ini file, try reinstalling the winXP.
If that doesnot work then their might be a device driver causing such problem.

If this is the case, then boot your computer in safe mode and then see whether your winxp loads fully or not. If your winxp successfully loads in safe mode ,then their is something wrong with any of your device driver.

If that doesnot even solve the problem, then their might a voltage fluctuation problem.

alfie ,r u sure that these rebooting problems can also take place because of viruses or malwares?

Do you remember what you did to the computer right before this problem started?

Have you tested the RAM and hard drive with the appropriate diagnostic utilities yet?

Have you scanned for malware (viruses, spyware, trojans, etc...) yet?

How many background programs do you have running in the Systray (by the clock)?

Do you have anything connected to the USB ports while the computer is booting up? If you do, are those devices powered up (printer, external HDD, etc...)? Do they require some monitoring software to be running?

I had the computer running for a month or two before I turned it off. That's when the problems started. I can't remember everything I did during that time. I know I uninstalled some programs.

Yeah, everything checked out fine.

Yeah, Adaware only found cookies and other stuff I installed.

Just the volume thing.

I have a printer, scanner, and digital camera. The digital camera isn't turned on, the scanner is also turned off, the printer is on, but everytime I start the computer it finds a new device (the printer) despite the fact that I use the printer all the time.

Well, I think he should boot his computer in safe mode and run virus cleaner(vcleaner.exe)file or anti-virus software.

Is the printer a HP? If it is, try reinstalling the software/driver.
