Vista RC1 and HD power
I installed RC1 onto the system in my sig with no major issues. I have occasionaly crashes right after logging in but appearently this is an issue MS is aware of. The reason I'm posting is about my HD. I was going through some forums when I heard one of my HD's shut down. It made the same little click it makes when I shut my PC down and then I could hear the RPM's spin down. I was thinking to myself "Oh great... now what?" I then opened my computer and tried to access my C: It was fine. Then I did my D: It seemed fine. Almost immediately after I accessed my D: I heard my HD kick back on and the RPM's quickly shot up to the normal hum I hear. All of this happened in the span of maybe 7-10 seconds.
Is there a feature in Vista that shutsdown power to unused HD's or should I start thinking about buying a new hard drive? EDIT* It just happend again and this time I waited about 30 seconds before trying to access my D: As soon as I accessed it the HD spun back up. I take it this is normal then. Kinda neat too... unless it isn't supposed to happen in which case this would be UNCOOL.

check your Power Settings. RC1 uses Hibernation.

Right...I began messing with stuff right after I posted and I found the setting that caused it.
