automatic update XP, now outlook
I let microsoft do an automatic update of XP, and now Outlook Express won't let me create a new e mail. Has anyone heard of this happening. How do you roll back an update?
Thanks. Last edited by drb46; 09-20-2006 at 03:18 PM. Reason: left out a word. |

A variety of ways:
Go to windowsupdate.com and click on Review your update History from the left. Note the names & dates of the updates that have been installed. You can either : do a system restore to roll back your computer to the date before the update was installed (windowsupdate always creates a restore point before installation - unless you've disabled system restore) OR Go to Control Panel > Add remove programs > Click the show updates check box Scroll down to the section for Windows XP software updates and uninstall the last few that were installed. |

Thanks for the help. I went to the control panel and uninstalled the last updates and now my email works again!
