Computer Name
Hello All!
I'm a new user to this forum! Can the "computer name" be changed? When windows XP was originally installed the computer was named "homebox" but we would like to change the name to something else, can this be acheived without having to re-install windows? if so how? TIA for any info you may be able to provide |

Hit the Windows key (between the Ctrl and Alt keys) and the Pause/Break key. This will bring up the System Properties box. Click on the Computer Name tab. Click the Change button.

Hi Cricket!
Thanks for the reply but unfortunately it did not work...as I was looking to change the "full computer name" as shown on the screen attached. Thanks again! |
