Hard drive problems
Hello all, I think my HD is going to crash pretty soon I know it. My computer started to freeze for like 3-5sec when accessing my main hard drive and I do mean freeze not slow down its freeze where I can’t even move the mouse. And at the time that it freezes I can hear a ticking sound coming from my main HD. Now it is freezing more often. My question is can I transfer or copy my main HD with XP on it to another HD using a different computer. I really don’t want to reinstall XP again. My computer is going to stay the same only thing different will be a new HD. Will my computer boot XP if I do this or am I just wasting my time? Or is there another way to do this. I unplug my computer for now and not using it.

If the drive has not failed yet you MAY be able to clone it to a new drive using the drive manufacturer's setup software.
