Default Email

If this is in the wrong place please move it.

I use gmail and windows xp pro.

How do I make it my default email? When I am online and click on a link and it automatically uses gmail as my email client?

Thanks, Matt

I want to click on an email address and gmail comes up.

You are probably right. The only default e-mail selections possible that I know of are standard POP/SMTP clients (Outlook, etc.), Hotmail, AT&T Yahoo, and AOL.

I do believe you can set up Gmail in a standard POP3 e-mail client, that may be what you will have to do.

After some searching that is what I was thinking too. I will look further into the pop3 email client.

Thank you, Matt

You don't necessarily have to set it up to receive mail - just send mail.

You could also just set it up to use your ISP mail account - and put your gmail address in as the default reply-to.
