quick vista question

is it worth installing the beta version right now, or is just going to give me problems finding drvers, and running games and what not. (i read the sticky)

I dont have a legal coppy of xp right now, and Im getting tired of the pop up messages from windows. so im thinking the vista beta may be option. I havnt got much on my new computer yet eather, so if have to reformat it will be a lot less of a bother than it will be in 3 months time

Im downloading the 64bit version as I write, only another 6 hours to go

Oh, I do plan to get a full version vista when its out as its the only way i'll be running directx 10 later on. (flight simulator fan)

the 32 bit version is your best bet... but try what you want...

I wouldnt use it for mission critical stuff but I have it on several rigs with no issues...but there are several people having issues... so it just depends what you are using it for... and what programs...

give the vista stick a good read... puting Vista on that rig isnt going to be trouble free you will have to do your home work...

I put it on my computer to see if I was going to be waiting for it to come out. Some of my software wouldn't install and some, like Microsoft Office, didn't have full functionality. I never found a Creative sound driver that would work properly.
