I have a new HD and want to install Windows 98SE. How do I write the whole Win98SE Cd onto the drive (before the OS is actually installed) and then Install the OS so I never need to use the CD again?

Format the new drive etc....
At the C:\>prompt type: MD Wincabfiles (this will make a folder called wincabfile. you can name it what ever you want) Then with the win98 cd in the cd drive type: Copy E:\win98\*.* C:\Wincabfiles (the "E" drive "should" be your cd rom drive letter) After the files are copied type: C:\wincabfiles\setup |
