Question windows xp professional acedemic version

Looking at ebay for upgrading from windows 2000 pro to windows xp professional i noticed that most offer acedemic versions .....how do i know if i qualify .....where is the protocol for qualification ......as i design and administer websites for a number of charitable societies in uk ..i am not sure if i would be eligible for the acedemic version ..?

I think your in a bit of gray area legally buying the acedemic version from these sellers that sell acedemic XP to the open public.

ok i think i am in the area of DARK grey maybe is too dark for legal use of win xp acedemic version
