Can't find NTLDR when I boot form CD
Yeah pretty much the title. I try to boot from cd and it says it can't find NTLDR. It's Windows XP Pro. - sp2.

Make sure the CD drive is first in the boot order and the drive is not defective and the CD is in fact bootable.

done and done, but now instead of getting the NTLDR error, the screen goes to another completely black-blank screen... -_-'. And I've used this CD before so it should work. One thing I've also noticed is that in my BIOS it doesn't recognize that my hard drive is even there.

You have a cabling or jumpering issue or a dud hard drive. The bios should see all hard and optical drives.
