Where to buy XP Pro Or Home Edition.
Anyone know of a place to buy XP Home Or PRO with the lowest price ? Also what is the big differance between the two ?

You'll need to search around for lowest prices since they change all the time. www.newegg.com is a good place to look.

Not in the UK, in the good old USA. Thanks for the link EzyStvy. Looks like XP Media will do what XP Pro does & more. May get the media version.

XP Media Center is actually based on the features of Home, with the added media capabilities. Unless you're running a Home Theater style PC, with a TV tuner, that you want to control with a remote, those capabilities are probably unnecessary.
I'd just go for XP Home. You'd only really notice the benefits of Pro if you were doing advanced networking. FK

Last time I looked, Fry's (www.outpost.com) was selling it even cheaper yet.
Whoops! Looks like they cranked it back up again. For a few weeks they had XP Home OEM for $79. -Kev
