Some problems after upgrade from win98 to winxp
Sometimes it happens that when we upgrade win98 to winxp ,some of the older applications or softwares do not work and some of the hardware devices donot work as well. Recently this problem started when I was upgrading my cousins computer from win98 to winxp, some of the applications like adobe acrobat, msn and other programs werent working.
Please correct me if I am wrong, is this problem occuring because the upgrade might have deleted or corrupted the (exe) files of these applications ? Is their any other solution of these types of problems except for returning the computer to previous OS(win98)? I hope my question is clear |

The best solution is a reformat and fresh install of XP. Upgrades do not always go well.
You can try reinstalling the broken applications. |
